The Nationwide Company for Regulation in Digital Communications and Info Know-how (ANRCETI) of Moldova granted licenses for the usage of the 2100 MHz frequency band to Moldovan cellular suppliers Orange Moldova, Moldtelecom, and Moldcell. In accordance with the official launch, the licenses, efficient December 9, 2023, will allow suppliers to offer public networks and companies for terrestrial cellular and glued mobile communications.

Spectrum License Allocations

Moldcell: 1920-1940/2110-2130 MHz (20 MHz/20 MHz FDD)
Moldtelecom: 1960-1980/2150-2170 MHz (20 MHz/20 MHz FDD)
Orange Moldova: 1940-1960/2130-2150 MHz (20 MHz/20 MHz FDD)

Compliance and Regulation

Issued in accordance with the Radio Frequency Spectrum Administration Program (2021-2025), suppliers should adhere to the minimal publicity values accredited by the Authorities Determination.

License Period and Charges

Legitimate for six years, expiring on November 6, 2029, service suppliers can pay license charges for the usage of spectrum within the 2100 MHz frequency band, in two instalments – by March 31 and Could 31, 2024, respectively, to the state funds. The payment, calculated in Moldovan lei, follows the official trade fee.

In accordance with the official launch, the Authorities has set the license payment at 6.2 million euros for a 25-year interval. Suppliers are required to adjust to particular license circumstances, as accredited by ANRCETI.
